I had to stop by AOA again this afternoon to pick up a few things that I forgot to get on Tuesday (substrate, filters, etc.) and I bought a pair of Ember Tetras. Their profile and size remind me a lot of Rasbora Espei and they contrast nicely with the school of Harlequin Rasboras that I have in the 40 gallon. I’d like to build up a school of a dozen or so over then next few months.

Finally… The Glossostigma has been planted. I still have a ton left over but since it grows so fast I don’t feel bad getting rid of the rest. The Glosso in the 55 gallon is growing so fast I don’t think I’ll ever run out of this little plant.

I moved the “Cuba” from the 55 gallon into this tank. Hopefully it will grow a little straighter in this tank.

The two 5 lb. aluminum CO2 tanks that I ordered from BeverageFactory.com last week arrived yesterday so I went and got them filled up this morning. I set one up for this tank and I’m going to set the other one for the swamp tank. I’m running at about 1 bubble every 2 seconds right now using a glass diffuser. It will take a few days to fine-tune the bps to make sure the pH stays where I want it.

I’m having trouble finding any information or even photos online of Gold-Orange Flash Cockatoos.

The Gold-Orange Flash Cockatoos and the Apistogramma borellii pair are both in the 40 gallon for the time being and the N. Taenia group was split up between two of the stock tanks in the basement until I decide where their permanent home will be.

The 6 Crystal Reds got their own 5 gallon tank in the basement in hopes that they will spawn.

Still no word on the plants I ordered and the CO2 tanks seem to be lost in FedEx limbo somewhere. I’ve been planting Glosso little by little over the past few days. It’s difficult to visualize the where the different types of plants I’m waiting on will be ultimately placed but I have a general idea. Normally I would plant the Glosso last but I’m afraid it will not last since it’s already been in a bucket for nearly a week.
