Mowing the Lawn
40 Gallon (Grass) November 29th, 2006
For whatever reason I have been extremely lax when it comes to keeping a log of the “Grass” tank. I guess it’s because it’s the only tank that hasn’t undergone a significant redesign in the past few months.
So, in an effort to bring things up to speed…
Fish:
Black Neon Tetras (x16)
Harlequin Rasbora (x10)
Otocinclus (x2)
Cherry Shrimp (~20)
The Willow Moss was removed a month or so ago because it grew much too slow and was collecting algae. I also removed the Riccia since it did not lend anything to the overall look of the layout and turned out to be rather messy.
Overall I’m still extremely happy with this layout. Trimming the Java Moss “hill” is much more involved on the cleanup end than I originally anticipated but the end result is well worth it. And the openness of the layout provides ample room for the tetras and rasboras to play.
